Frequently Asked Questions
-
What simulation software do you use?
To a large extent the choice of the software is dictated by the customer's needs. The most often used software for commercial projects is PowerFactory of DIgSILENT. Other software packages may also be used. Please contact RIDENT for more details.
If the choice of the software is not critical, RIDENT uses free and open-source software tools such as ATP-EMTP and OpenModelica.
-
What are the rates charged by RIDENT?
The rates are defined by several factors such as the choice of the software and its licenses, the complexity of the project, the urgency, application area, etc. Please contact RIDENT for further details.
Normally RIDENT does not charge based on hourly rates; rather, a lumped sum is agreed with the customer based on the factors outlined in the previous paragraph.
-
Is there a complete list of reference projects?
As a subcontractor RIDENT has been involved in a number of simulation, R&D, and grid code compliance projects. Several projects are covered by an NDA and thus cannot be disclosed to a third party. Should the explicit consent of the parties involved be granted, RIDENT may provide such a list.
-
Is site support possible?
The majority of RIDENT's projects are related to desk research; nonetheless, site support is also possible. Please contact RIDENT for details.
